Writing is coming along in between life. Bugger how that keeps interfering. LOL But it’s still pulling through. Slowly, I’m getting my work hours figured out to devote them to writing.

I finally made through my first copywriting assignment - at least the rough draft phase. It took a long time due to trying to organize my time wisely with family and other obligations, and I spent extra time studying how they set it up. There’s still a few things I want to study more and then look at it again, but I think I got it now. And it’s so much better than it would have been than if I had just written it myself. Definitely worth taking a course for this! I hope to have it out this weekend.

Only problem with the copywriting letters is that I seem to have to use the computer in order to get my thoughts in line and together properly. I’ve been trying to handwrite it all this time and getting no where, but once I had the time alone and just sat down at the computer, it just poured out of me. Hope that improves once I get a few letters under my belt. I have no problem hand writing fiction or non-fiction writing, or any of the other business related items I do.

I uncovered a story I had forgotten about during cleaning one day. Forgot about it so badly I had to ask my hubby if he had written it. LOL He said the grammar was too good for it to be his. Then I read it and came through the sentence that made me write and remembered it. LOL Knew it had to be one of us since Nebraska was in it.

I posted it to OWW and have had a few crits so far. Seems that people would like me to build on it and use it for something, but they expect it to be a novel or a series of stories with the same character. Sigh! Another book… And more research. It’s inspired by Lemuria and Atlantis, so I’ll have to research that more and talk to a doctor for some areas since my character is a doctor. Good thing I know a few.

Progressing forward

Copywriting has moved forward - on the studying and research and bringing the letter assignment together. My fourth installment is on the way. And that tells me how far behind I am - I'm working on catching up now. I'll get this letter out and work on my own sales material next - that's my goal for the next few weeks.

I'm getting through the edits for TKQ - don't have a good count as I'm at work, but it is progressing forward.

PLS writing isn't progressing too far forward at the moment. I'll try to get some time devoted to it this week - shoot for a chapter a week on it to keep my crit readers happy.

I've worked on a few new poems, read a manuscript for a book coming out in September, and have a new story going for Whispering Spirits Digital Magazine (new name) - the staff donated Halloween issue this year. I'm waiting for my payment to be processed at OWW so I can post it there for critting.
