Non-fiction work

Still busy with the non-fiction work, although I've been working on journals and scripts for Friends of the Fissure when I can.

I was supposed to start being a regular columnist for Worlds of Wonder Ezine, but the management changed hands, so I'm waiting before getting into that market. It means I need to create those series of articles and present them to another market. I'm going to work with presenting them to Vision and Sam's Dot Publishing first.

Once I get through the overly busy family stuff, during which it sounds as if we'll have guests for up to a week starting next week, I'll be able to get back to the fiction. I have a series I want to put on OWW. Need to type those in first though.

In the meantime I'm working on the information products. Once I get the series emails set up and a few products ready for purchasing, I can ease into writing 3/4 fiction and 1/4 non-fiction - the goal I'm shooting for.

Mostly non-fiction now

Haven't been able to concentrate on the fiction writing lately. Major time eaten out of my days due to family issues cropping up. I did a major reworking of Whispering Spirits Digital Magazine's website, along with getting Issue 18 and the flash fiction contest guidelines up. Still have a lot to do on that. Plus get all the financials ready for the magazine on Thursday.

I have been working on some non-fiction projects though. Sure hope I get to work consistantly on those. I'd love to be able to put them on the market in a few weeks.

I'm reposting things on The Claw and Quill Writer's Guild forum site. I've let our few current members know I have enough of the site ready for new members to come in. I am also looking at advertising it for a day or two on a high volume site. Don't want just anyone to come in, but I do want to get the word out.

I'm also the forum tester for a new forum for our URU Bevin board. Myss Terrie's Bevin. So I've been playing with boards to see what we like.

But mostly family and non-fiction work. Family stuff is still going on and escalating, but I hope to be able to get something done anyways.

Slowly moving

Still getting the manuscript ready to go out again.

Haven't worked too much on fiction writing. Had to take care of the magazine work this past week and getting some of the informational products going. A bit of a family disruption took some time and still is too.

Hoping to get back into critting some this week. Perhaps even choose something to start posting on OWW myself too. Also have to work on the Claw and Quill Writer's Guild this week - get it ready for new members!

Agents to publishers transition

Well, I let it go until after my visit home for our Easter. Now I have all but one agent who's responded with a rejection for TKQ.

I've decided to go straight to publishers. I've chosen three and am preparing the manuscript this week to submit to the first one next week.
